Water Drops On Stonecrop

When I was crawling around my friend’s garden the other weekend, they were in the middle of installing a sprinkler system and had just tested it before I’d arrived. As a result I found these water drops sort of nestling in these stonecrop leaves and found them quite cute. Researching the English name for this plant – stonecrop – I found it interesting that it’s so completely different from the German name (often they’re the same and can be literally translated). In this case, though, the German name is Fetthenne, which translated into English would be fat hen. Wonder where the German name originates from…

Some of these pictures look a little unfocused at first glance – you just need to find the water drop I was focusing on, though.
