January Challenge # 20: Upset

2014-01-20 UpsetThe beauty of the English language. According to the Thesaurus, upset has 46 synonyms as well as several different meanings. I would say as a non-native speaker the first meaning that comes to mind is being upset meaning distressed, unsettled…

Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought it also means tipped over/upside down. Just to make sure, though, I checked the Thesaurus, and luckily I was right because no way would I have been able to find an upset person who would want their picture taken for this challenge đŸ™‚ .

If you’re wondering what this picture shows – it’s one of those weights that – when not upset… – holds signs in construction areas. I found this one at a building site around the corner from where I live.
