Remember last Friday when I mentioned I’d be staying with friends and the guys would be making either brisket or pulled pork? They went meat shopping and returned with a huge slab of ribeye as well as some pork. The ribeye we had on Saturday night, and afterwards they prepared the pork and the BBQ to smoke it overnight.
It was quite an event, actually, because of course everyone had to put in their two cents’ worth of how to do what, but it was definitely a lot of fun. Sunday morning after breakfast some of us went for a walk in the quite deep snow that had started falling the day before, and a couple of hours later the pork was ready to be served.
The piece of meat you see on the BBQ above can by no means be called pretty, but the taste of it once it was pulled apart… oh my… I wish we could have that once a weak!
