2015 July In Pictures

I think by rights this post should be called July In Plants… As you can see below that’s about all I took pictures of last month. I’m not apologising, though, I’m quite content with the results. Also clearly visible is the fact that I had some editing fun playing around with presets.

What was July like? An unusually hot month, I spent a lot of time on my balcony, I had most Fridays off and, therefore, enjoyed some long weekends, I also properly enjoyed running for the first time since I started three years ago, and I did not enjoy cooking this month, which is a new one for me.

Photography-wise my behavioural patterns seem to have changed; not on purpose, and I can’t figure out why. I still love detail photography but haven’t done much of it. I realised when I was out with my friend today that on our previous trips I always seemed to notice little things along the way and immediately grabbed my macro lens. I haven’t felt like I’ve been seeing and noticing those little things for quite a while now, and I hope it’s just a phase. We’ll see what August brings.

How was your July?

  1. very pretty tones in the presets but it is your ‘photographer’s eye’ which catches attention. A jaunty and jocund July gallery – love the mauve dollop of paint and I’m guessing there is the evidence of your white painted chair in progress?!
