I know – it’s very pink! 😀 Last week desleyjane and I had a conversation about fuchsia photography backgrounds. I was inspired by that conversation to make one, so stopped by the DYI store this week, got a tiny can of glossy acrylic paint that called itself “orchid” but to me was totally fuchsia, and made this background in 5 minutes later in the week.
I happened to have bought a bunch of carnations a day earlier, which very annoyingly were almost dead on arrival – the blossoms were on such thin stems they hardly survived the trip home from the supermarket. So I decided to behead them straight away instead of being annoyed, found a bowl, and let the flower heads swim a little.
Hello on this quite cold 2ºC morning! On the drive to work I passed pretty foggy forests, but of course didn’t have my camera with me, as usual.
Nothing much happened this past week, and that’ll probably be the same for this weekend. With Christmas stuff already in the shops, I managed to track down an ingredient I wanted to use for a food blog recipe, so I might get to working on that.
It’s already difficult to find dates to meet friends as everyone seems to be busy on the weekends leading to Christmas; I don’t really like cramming my calendar, I always need a weekend or two a month for myself.
I still haven’t put up my picture rail but my sister promised she’d come round tomorrow. It was partly my fault because I wasn’t 100 % sure where I wanted those rails to be exactly, but meanwhile I’ve got picture frames lined up on the dining table, and I want them to go on the wall.
No Friday market for me today, I think, as I’m very undecided what I want to cook for the weekend, or if I want to cook at all, for that matter. I’ll get my weekly flowers somewhere else, like last week. I managed to get to my little favourite flower shop last Saturday and bought this pretty hydreangea as well as some single stems for bottle vases.
Hope it’s not yet too cold where you are. Happy Friday!
Good morning on yet another grey day. The weather has turned ugly on us again, unfortunately. This morning driving to work, I noticed that the leaves seem to finally have reached a consensus and have all turned into very beautiful hues of red and gold. With all the rain we’ve had this past week, I didn’t really look at the trees.
It’s supposedly getting colder over this weekend, with frost on the agenda for Monday. A legitimate reason to snuggle up in my reading chair with a scented candle and a hot chocolate.
Not sure whether I’ll be visiting the market later today as my fridge currently contains all the veg I need. Maybe I’ll just stop by for fresh flowers. The above beautiful autumn bouquet was bought last week, albeit on a little Saturday market close by. I went there just before they closed, and this was one of the few bouquets left. I find it quite beautiful, even though not all of the pretty roses managed to open up.
I have nothing planned for the weekend, except ponder some photography projects. I realised the other day that I need to write down every idea that pops into my head, because I need a list that I can go back to when memory fails. Hopefully that list will grow a bit over the weekend.
Wishing you a happy Friday & an enjoyable weekend!
Good morning & happy Friday! I can’t believe a whole week has just flown by like that. I had the week off and – unfortunately, in hindsight – basically did nothing but read.
Skies today are quite grey, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get rain. It’ll probably start as soon as I leave for the market this afternoon 😉 . I’ll be buying fresh flowers – above ones were last week’s purchase – and I feel like getting a ton of vegetables. I’m craving soups all of a sudden, with lots of healthy stuff in them.
This is a short round-up of the week and preview of the weekend as I haven’t got anything to tell due to the Halloween party having been the only thing I left the house for, and I have nothing planned for the weekend.
I hope you have something more exciting planned for yourselves!
